About the new forums

These new forums currently just use the default Forum module within Drupal.  I plan to enhance these forums over time to bring in more of the features we had in the old phpBB2 forums, along with other new features.  So for now, you don't need to post anything like "what happened to xxx feature".  Just be patient and the forum should improve over time.

However, if you actually find a real bug or problem with this new site, feel free to post about it here.

Thanks for your patience.

Is the plan to move the zMUD/cMUD forums/website over here eventually? smiley The website looks very nice but it seems to load slowly. Perhaps it's something wrong with my connection though(maybe it is routing through a satellite cool).

The WYSIWYG editor is shown to me partly in Swedish. Are there plans to translate the rest of the website too?

This site is serving as a model for the eventual new Zuggsoft.com web site.  But it will probably still be many months before a new site is ready and I move the other forums.  In any case, the forums will not be moved here (tessh.com) as this site is just for TeSSH support.  The old forums will just be moved to the new zuggsoft.com site.

This site uses Drupal which supports languages other than English.  Certain plugins, such as the Editor, detect your language and can work in other languages.  But there are no plans to translate the rest of the site.  Translating the entire site into multiple languages is way beyond the resources that I have available.

As far as the site speed, this site is still currently under active development and improvement and I have yet not turned on any caching or other performance improvements.  Performance should improve over time.

I've enabled caching and some other performance options so the site should be faster now.  I've also added caching to the Knowledge Base (Documentation) index tree on the left column which cut the page load time in half for those pages.  I still need to work on expiring the cache when a new knowledge base topic is added.  Right now I have to manually expire the cache when a new help topic is added.

Updating to new version of Drupal Advanced Forum module today, so there might be some new forum issues till I get it all working properly again.
